Malabar Shrimp Curry

Was very disappointed as I usually like this dish. There were just 3 total shrimp and curry was oily and under seasoned. I also paid for 2 rices and only got one, so there wasn't enough rice for everyone.

Old Delhi Style - BUTTER CHICKEN-(No-Roomali Roti)..

Every time I dine you have raised your prices to the point where I will have to stop coming. I really don't want to. But $25 for butter chicken entree is absurd.

Traditional Lamb Curry

"Rainy Day Rhapsody: Saffron's Culinary Rainbow in San Carlos" In the embrace of a rainy San Carlos day, Saffron reveals the dreams of Ajay Walia, threading the essence of heritage into each morsel. As ancestors' secrets whisper from the plates, Lamb Curry and Butter Chicken stand as culinary odes, nestled in vessels that narrate tales from afar. Papad, delicate and crisp, alongside the Chutney, sweetly heralds the feast's commencement. The Spicy Chili Chutney boldly awakens, uniting history and ambition in a flavor-filled crescendo, a ballet of textures for the palate. Amidst this sensory symphony, the staff's meticulously considered attire echoes their commitment. Here, as an early spring rainbow arches above, Saffron transcends mere dining, transforming into a journey through India's culinary heartland. Guided by Ajay's vision, each taste becomes a voyage back to one's roots, a jubilee of true Indian culinary artistry amidst the rain's gentle patter.

Onion Bhaji.

Onion Bhajis are usually plump, moist & tasty. They are great as a takeout and are presented exquisitely when eating in the restaurant and piping hot.

Daal of the Day

We've been getting the Daal of the Day since before the pandemic and love it. It's generally a hearty dish with thick lentils and tastes so yummy!
